Students identify story elements with these reading pennant activities. They are perfect for reviewing story elements and provide you with a festive Thanksgiving bulletin board display!
Once the pennant is complete, students can color them and cut them out. You can staple them to a bulletin board or hang them on a string across the room to display their work and creativity.
The reading pennants include three differentiated versions of the graphic organizer and four different characters to choose from.
Level 1: Students identify characters, setting, problem, solution, and summarize the elements.
Level 2: Students identify characters and the setting. Then, they identify the problem and the events that lead up to the solution.
Level 3: Students identify the major and minor characters, the setting and the effect the setting has on the story, the problem and the character's goals, and the attempts made to accomplish the goals with a concluding solution.
