Divisibility Rules

To teach or not to teach divisibility rules.  Well, that is another topic.  A topic all on its own.  I have two fourth grade math classes.  I had one class that was able to grasp a majority of the rules and another that well, let’s say, I went another route.

For the class that grasped the divisibility rules, I created a flapable for their interactive notebook.  First, students wrote down each rule under the flap and we discussed the rule.

Then, they highlighted the numbers that applied to the rule.
