5 Tips to Take Your Teacher Binder from Drab to Fab

I LOVE color! I also love my teacher binder to be full of color, but let’s face it, printing in color can get expensive. My school doesn’t own a colored printer. Well, let’s say they don’t have one that I know of. So, if I want my lesson plans to be colorful, I have to take matters into my own hands.

That’s where this handy dandy box of goodies comes in.

Within this box (and outside), I have a handful my must-haves. These must-haves are how I take my planner from drab to fab!

1. Flair pens

A definite must have! These pens are fantastic because not only are they colorful, the don’t bleed through the paper! I like to color code my subjects headings and then each day I write the lesson in the corresponding color. These colors stay the same year round. 2. Washi Tape

Washi tape is so much fun! There are an endless number of possible colors, patterns, sizes and textures available! For my lesson plans, I like to use a thin washi tape since I have limited space. You can find the thin washi tape that I use here.

3. Stickers

I am addicted to sticker of all types. Just as with the washi tape, possibilities are endless! Amazon is one of my favorite places to shop. Simply search planner sticks, and bam, you will be overwhelmed by all the options. You can start looking here.

4. DecoPens

These are similar to washi tape, but once you adhere it, you can’t remove it. DecoPens are similar to a tape runner. They can add a lot of fun to your pages. Me & My Big Ideas has a fun collection of them you can find here.

5. Colored Notebook or Binder

What better way to display your fab teacher binder than a fab notebook or binder? My favorite color at the moment (Does yours change like mine?), is turquoise. Last summer I came across this Discbound Notebook from Martha Stewart, and I had to have it! You can find it here.
