My daughter and I were off school today for Fall Break. She loves to do arts and crafts and thought we should most definitely do something today for Halloween. So, what better way to find a craft than Pinterest? Off to Pinterest we went! She instantly fell in love with the idea of making the skeleton from Q-tips that is all over Pinterest right now. So, skeleton from Q-tips it was.

The teacher in me automatically got to thinking of ways that I could use this craft in the classroom and tie it to the curriculum. Here is a short list that I came up with, but I’m sure you can think of MANY more!
5 Ways to Use the Q-Tip Skeleton in the Classroom
- Geometry – Have students identify angles, parallel lines, intersecting lines, perpendicular lines, etc.
- Measurement – Have students measure the length of the bones to the nearest half or quarter inch.
- Skeleton – Have students make as many words as they can using the letters in Skeleton.
- Creative Writing – Have students create a story with the skeleton as the main character.
- Science – Have students identify where certain organs would be located within the skeleton.
