Check Point Tracking Sheets & Reflection

There are 3 types of reflection sheets, and each type contains multiple versions. All reflection sheets can be used for any subject.

Pre-Assessment Reflection

  • Students record their score on the pre-assessment and rate their understanding of the new concept.
  • In order to activate prior knowledge, students reflect on what they did not know, what they had some idea about, and what they think they need to know in order to understand what they will be learning.
  • Lastly, students make a goal for learning new information and explain how they will meet their goal.
  • Lined and unlined versions are provided for your student's needs.

A second version is provided. This version is perfect for students making goals for behavior, homework, teamwork, etc. It is very versatile!

Check Point Reflections

  • Students record the subject, unit, and topic and record the “I can” statement provided by the teacher.
  • Throughout the unit being studied, students rate their understanding and reflect at each point.

Check Point Reflections are provided in the following formats:

  • Lined and unlined
  • Unprompted and prompted

Post-Assessment Reflection

  • Students record their score on the post-assessment and rate their understanding of the concept they just learned.
  • Students reflect on their strengths, weaknesses, and ways they can still improve.
  • Students also refer back to their pre-assessment goal and explain if they did or did not meet their goal and why.
  • Lined and unlined versions are provided for your student's needs.
  • Just like the Pre-Assessment Reflection, a second version is provided. This version is perfect for students making goals for behavior, homework, teamwork, etc. It is very versatile!

My Progress Graphs

Using the graphs students record their pre-and post-assessment. Pre- and post-assessments are side by side so students can see their progress at a glance without having to flip through pages.

Check Point Reflections

If you choose to use the unprompted checkpoints, posters are provided with reflection prompt examples that students may refer to.
