Teacher Appreciation with a Jolly Rancher

Today I received one of the coolest Teacher Appreciation gifts from one of my students.  I was so intrigued with it that I wanted to share and find the steps on how to create this fascinating masterpiece.

I asked Claire how they made them, and this is how she described it: They placed a  Dum Dum sucker on a baking sheet, placed Jolly Ranchers around the sucker, and then melted it in the oven.

For the finishing touch they placed it in a plastic sandwich bag and tied a ribbon around it.  So cute!

I found the following post through Pinterest (click the image below to be taken to the link) that gives additional details on how to create these cute suckers.

I’m sure there are many other designs that can be made.  I know my little girl would love to do this, and I’m sure we will have to try it out.  Have you made these before and/or have ideas for additional designs?  I would love to hear about them in the comments below!
